MY VISIT DURING JANUARY AND FEBRUARY 2010

I have had another fantastic and very productive visit To Amukeni.

Renewing friendships and making new ones and experiencing life in general

in what I feel has become an even more financially poorer country.

With the help of friends here in England I was able to take out nearly £800 which was used to renew the general fabric of the classrooms, buy essential exercise books, pencils and educational supplies along with much more.

All the classrooms had a general clean up (as much of the educational material is laminated or has a gloss finish so that in the hot and humid climate it will last a lot longer)

and a new coat of paint.

KG 3 had a fantastic day out at the local nature reserve, Haller Park, with memory pictures now hanging all around their classroom.
